Kalispell Photographer – Winter Maternity Photography

Winter can be a tough time for outdoor maternity photos in Kalispell. The trees are bare, the weather is cold, the colors are mostly gone, but I’ve found a few locations where the options for Kalispell winter maternity sessions are stunning! I mean, when you live in the mountains and so close to Glacier National Park, you certainly can’t complain about the views!

Winter certainly presents it’s challenges but if you plan and dress accordingly, then you can take advantage of this gorgeous scenery, even in the coldest months! My advice, definitely dress for the weather, park close so we can take warm-up breaks, and just have fun!

Of course, indoor photos are always an option if you prefer to avoid the cooler temps. I have a beautiful photography studio located in Kalispell and I include up to three different outfits in my studio sessions to add variety since the posing options are a little more limited. For a family, I’m much more fond of natural light and shooting outside, especially due to the posing limitations in studio, but I’ve had a few clients opt for a creative studio session or photos in places like the stunning capital building in Boise, ID.

If you’re a winter-loving person, just praying for snowy photos, then just about anywhere we shoot will be gorgeous as snow is the perfect backdrop!
