Can we talk about how adorable Wynn is with that giggle and birthday cake all over his face? Cake smash first birthday sessions are one of my absolute favorite studio sessions to photograph. I love everything from setting up all of my props to choosing outfits to the actual photo session. This cutie started his session a little on the serious side but by the time that cake came out, he was ready to go!

WHAT’S INCLUDED IN A STUDIO CAKE SMASH SESSION

The short answer…everything! I provide the props, balloons, etc. and I have multiple outfits for boys and girls in a variety of sizes. I have props for a variety of color palettes and themes including ideas such as outdoors, mountains, camping, florals, and even bees! The only thing I don’t include in my sessions is the cake itself, purely for allergy reasons. That being said, I can suggest a few different local bakeries to check out if you’re interested in having one custom made for your session.

CAKE SMASH PHOTOGRAPHY STUDIO

When you arrive at my baby photography studio in Kalispell, I’ll have everything setup and ready to go for your cake smash session. I’ll usually have several outfits picked out for you to choose from and then we’ll get started! If you booked a mini cake smash, your portrait session will be approximately 30 – 45 minutes and a full smash and splash session, which also includes a fun bubble bath or milk bath at the end, will be approximately one to one and half hours in length.
