I love newborn sessions where parents give me free rein to choose colors, props, etc. I always send out a pre-session questionnaire to determine if mom and dad have preferences or particular colors they don’t like and that’s totally fine too! However, sometimes I get to select everything and that gives me so much freedom to play!

Sweet Mahira’s session was full of color and girly touches like soft pink, tulle, and pearls. I also got the opportunity to use a pretty yellow and some gold touches which was a first for me! Yellow does not get enough love if you want my opinion because her images are gorgeous!

I used a pink tulle bonnet from Lavender & Moss for the first time in this session and fell in love. It adds such a soft girly touch. I loved this photo of Mahira so much that I submitted it to the Photographer and Model magazine, Lensational. Would you believe my surprise when I found out they chose to feature two of my images, a bio on me, and Mahira’s photo made the cover! So amazing!
