WHITEFISH FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY

Fall family photos are of course one of the most popular sessions I do throughout the year but there’s no debating that Fall family photography in Whitefish, Montana takes the cake! Talk about a dream! The colors, the views, the beautiful families, what more could I ask for? This session did not disappoint. I met this sweet family on Big Mountain and had such a blast photographing their three beautiful girls.

You might notice as you peek through my galleries that I often post very candid and unposed photos. These are my absolute favorite and probably the majority of what I take during a session. I’m definitely not the photographer who is going to deliver 50 smiling and posed images. I will always do my best to capture that “Christmas card” photo where everyone is looking and smiling but my sessions, especially those with young children, are often more about letting everyone just kind of do their thing, with me running all over the place, snapping everything I can, and then bringing everyone back together to get “the” shot and then it’s go, go, go again!

And these photos…they just make me smile. I adore all the playful vibes and the love they obviously have for one another. After I delivered this gallery, mom reached out and shared that these were their first family photos since completing their family and that she just cried while going through them. I can’t even begin to express my gratitude when clients share that kind of feedback with me and knowing that photos I took brought about those kinds of emotions. That is exactly why I do this and the kind of feeling I always aspire to achieve when I deliver a gallery.
